- Gildart to the NRL
- Ethan Havard to Melbourne
- Joe Burgess released
- Tommy and Lockers to retire (expected anyway)

IF all these are true we’ll have to have a serious squad overhaul.

Players come and go as they have always done over the seasons, especially now that there is more money in the NRL and the rival code of Union.

The secret is to keep signing other class players who are just as good, if not better than those who want to leave and keep producing better young players in a academy system like we have at Wigan.

We are trying to keep Havard, but Melbourne have been chasing him for two years.
Personally I think he's too young to go yet and should sign a three or four year deal at Wigan with the now accepted release clause in the final year. That clause protects both club and player.

Fair enough but that game for me was decided on the Tomkins injury. We win if he plays no doubt about that.

Hopefully he does sign a deal here like you say but it's tough to stop a player heading to the NRL with the better financial prospects, lifestyle etc on top of the challenge that it is to go there and crack it.

Just watching the Bulldogs Vs Roosters game and during the HT show they talk about the bulldogs needing a quality playmaker & having some cash to spend too. Wouldn't be surprised to see Hastings end up there and also making a difference to them too.

Hastings will be in huge demand you’d think. I’ve kept an eye on the NRL over the years but only watched a game here and there but after watching loads of games these past few weeks, the comp isn’t full of supermen as some people would try and have you believe. There are 4 or 5 really poor teams in that league and Hastings would be the best halfback at most of those and would get a game at plenty of other teams.
