didnt say final said 1, and in respect to that the game wasnt won or lost in that minute as there were scores and events all the way through that game

Get Havard to sign a 4-5 year contract with an NRL release clause after 2-3 years with a set transfer fee.I would be very surprised to see Hastings go home as he seems to like the game in this country and he's had a bit of trouble at a couple of NRL clubs

We need to do all we can to keep Havard. I would be bitterly disappointed if he left without having a proper go for us. I would be gutted about Hastings too because he has loads to achieve here yet. Gildart is a big loss but would like to see him replaced with Kane Linett from Hull KR, Really underrated centre. Bring Smithies through for lockers and get Lawler in as rotation form also KR. Not sure i would want Smith coming into the team as a regular starter just yet. 1 more year coming in and out of the side for me, Bring in an experienced half or bring Lam in on loan for a year and move heaven and earth to bring Bateman back if the option is there and give Greenwood to Dewsbury.

Oh without a shadow of a doubt. With Hastings he's always had the potential, but the off the field stuff ruined it for him. Lucky for him tho he seems to have either mellowed or hired a top PR guy as the only stories that come out seem to be positive ones.

Looking at that Bulldogs team today, I can't help but think that there's a bit of a team hidden there. Hastings could easily take them up a few notches, as will Thompson too.

Personally I think he's too young to go yet and should sign a three or four year deal at Wigan with the now accepted release clause in the final year. That clause protects both club and player.

I agree over his age u less he has family over there otherwise he should take a long hard look at Burgess and his disastrous move to the NRL and take note

Or maybe he'd look at Bateman, Sutton, Williams, Hodgson, Whitehead, Graham, Burgess brothers, Ellis, Morley... and fancy his chances.

I hope he doesn't but recently there's more success stories than tales of doom.

I agree with most of the above. We need Hastings and Havard to remain but Hastings has never hid his desire to have a second go in the NRL and I’m not sure I could blame him either to be honest.

I don’t know if Havard harbours NRL ambitions but I’d be amazed if he didn’t to be honest, especially given the more recent success stories. Those saying “he’s too young” only need to take a look at Herbie Farnworth for proof that argument is obsolete.

Gildart will go sooner or later and again he’s never hidden his NRL ambition. And again I can’t say I blame him for wanting a shot there.

Kids like Farnworth are a low-risk and cheap punt for NRL clubs, though.

Aren’t folk well used to this by now?
It’s been like this, most years, for about 5-8 years hasn’t it?
In all honesty it’s one of the many reasons my interest in Wigan RL has dropped over the years from home & away until circa 2013 down to the point that the club are lucky to get 2 games worth of ticket money out of me, a season.
