Personally, as much as I’d like Currie and/or Bateman to sign, I’d be happy to cull those who are already leaving and retiring and not replace them with new signings but with what we’ve already got in youth. Short term it may damage us but long term it’ll be better for us and we’d be able to go into the next phase of CV19 on a better financial footing.

Wonder what the plan is post Adrian Lam?

It won’t just be players who are looking at new clubs.

You would think both SOL & TL will be added to coaching positions in some capacity but we may need to look at a new head coach at some point.

A one club man who has been a influential key player and leader at every level and a World Cup winning player.

I’m not a big fan of jobs for the boys but to lose 2 leaders on the field is difficult to replace so keeping them around the club and squad in assistant roles I really think will be a great move.

Better than waving goodbye to all fans if the club goes under.

Currie would be a GB regular without injuries, similar to Manfredi imo. We probably owe it to Manfredi to stand by him after what he’s been through but I wouldn’t want to bring in another player with such a bad injury record. Plus why aren’t Warrington keeping him? Is he asking for silly wages? I’d rather get a lesser player more likely to be on the pitch.

I agree. I would like to think our support will galvanise, the last time we skirted with adversity (and a real threat of relegation) our average increased to over 16k.

What a load of ballcox, They should be in assistant roles only if they have worked hard and proved themselves as coaches and nothing more, Start them in the academy set up and let them work their way up ala Waney
