I think for the pre season games at least that will go to Goulding and it's his to try and keep.

Goulding should be given a chance and I'm surprised the coaches were so adamant at keep a poor Joel Tomkins in the centres last year when we had Goulding as back up. Gelling does look like a beast though i'd love him to turn out to be a gem of a signing.

The problem is Goulding is nothing more than poor. He has never ever showed any promise. Aspinwall was a better player in the juniors and the seniors but rightfully so got moved on.

It is a sad indication of the game that Goulding has an England Cap, and also is being considered as a first team playerata top club, equally sad is that we have to play a second row at centre last year and even worse he does a half decent job of it, and finally we sign a total unknown due to the massive shortage of any decent centres in England.

It's a major problem for Wigan and RL.

No he shouldn't!!! Why should he? He's had his chance and been nothing more than poor, he's not a Wigan player. He didnt even impress on loan at Salford. Im sick of all this "give him a chance", he's not 18 for god sake he's been knocking around the first team for about 6 years and never done anything to impress anyone. He rarely beats a man, he lacks pace, his defence is average and he poses no threat the opposition what so ever.

It doesn't help that all the half-decent junior centres who've got any size on them get moved into the forwards while they're still amateurs. No wonder the ones that progress from those ranks all tend to be too small, like Marsh and Goulding.

I wouldn't class Goulding as too small, just very average
