I'd stick with young Halsall before I would bring Lewis back, as for Mead he will be on a good salary - too much for providing cover.

He seems to be of a similar profile as French just not played the same amount of games. Seems to be fairly well thought of over in Oz and is a fast exiting player, he’s just in a position that’s tough to break into in the NRL but as we’ve seen with French a player who isn’t quite good enough (or perceived not good enough) can be good enough over here, plus I think speed is a bigger attribute in the super league and being a smaller player doesn’t seem to hold someone back as much.

The league should suit him from what I’ve seen of him recently. He’s had some criticism from Parra fans I’ve read on one of their forums for not playing like a proper halfback but they’re extremely frustrated with how their whole side as collapsed from looking like favourites to limping out of the play offs. He clearly needs to be able to use his strengths here as and when he comes and that looks to be as a running halfback or as an attacking fullback. If he ends up at fullback and we get a good partner for Harry Smith then happy days IMO.

Not sure what Field really had to do with their demise, he wasn’t in the squad the last 2 weeks was he?
From what I have seen he’s similar to Hampshire but quicker, he's really quick actually. I think he could maybe work as a half back partner with Smith down the line with Smith controlling and Field off his shoulder but I wouldn’t want Smith to be the main organiser just yet.

It was when he had that run in the team and the wheels were starting to creek. I read about on there after a defeat and even after a win and everyone was copping it, including Field but even guys like Moses were getting ripped.
