So far it looks as though HKR and Wigan are the only SL clubs not to have had a home fixture.
Is there an explanation for this?
Perhaps, it could have something to do with both clubs along with Catalan having owners/chairmen who have been critical of the RFL over certain matters and in Wigans case also the town not getting any games in next years World Cup?
It's the same with the disciplinary system where the match review panel seemed to look for any possible offence committed by Wigan players with a microscope as shown in this weeks latest episode. Especially, any possible offences by Flower, Partington, Smithies, all of whom have had previous long suspensions along with Catalan players like McIIorum and the Tomkins Brothers who have previously played for Wigan.
And to think that in the days of Central Park, the RFL never hesitated in giving special games to Wigan, but different administrators were in charge of the RFL then and not the aloof Wood and more recently Rimmer. Judging by some of the comments by Elstone who is over the Super League, he too is not a happy bunny with some things in the game.
Some questions need to be asked why the Wigan club and the town of Wigan is now being treated in this way by the RFL.
