When things return to normal I'll see what I can do about organising something were we can view all of the shirts/medals etc. About 12/13 years ago I remember passing on a CD rom that one of his sons had done detailing his career to Rogues, Dont know if he still has it?
And it's his sons 70th tomorrow (I was his apprentice 32 years ago when I joined BT).
Although I love Mavericks like Andy Greg the players that have always resonated with me the most have been humble players who to me don’t seem to realise how good they are. Liam Farrell, SOL, George Carmont and I would include Bevan French in that category. They are the heartbeat in any club and thankfully we’ve had our good share of those guys.
For the club even to consider changing the badge on the shirt from the Ancient and Loyal coat of arms of the old Wigan Borough to meaningless modern design is disgraceful.
Welsby wasn't interested in signing for Wigan he only wanted to sign for Saints, anyone at Shevington Sharks will tell you that. Players have a right to choose!
They sure have as shown by Jake Sculthorpe of the same Shevington Sharks signing for Wigan in spite of his father being a player with Warrington and St Helens.
