Right, as a non wigan supporter my opinion probably doesn't mean anything but … As a designer and someone who has worked in marketing for many years and worked with some pretty big brands, I will say this shirt is ridiculous, heres why. Your team in RL circles is massive, the name Wigan RL is probably one of the most recognisable names in RL, as are the colours your team play in. Why on earth when you have just won a championship and you get to play a WCC would your club decide to change one of the most famous and memorable aspects of your club - the team colours! if there was any time to release a kit that resembled the kit that your ultra successful team of the 80's wore it was now, horrendous piece of design, but above all, an horrendous waste of a marketing opportunity,. Imagine you all remembering the great 80's wigan team and then seeing what could be another great wigan team in similar colours.Along with Bradfords effort, I actually find it offending that a professional designer has produced this.
