Looks like Hull have switched to Josh Reynolds after getting knocked back by Marshall.

He was another player I hoped we could see at one stage in a Wigan shirt (not now obviously but a few years ago).

Will be a good signing for them, very much in the Jackson Hastings mould.

One thing I think is becoming an issue with Hull is what they do with Jake Connor.

He is out of contract in 2021 and it looks like the halves spots are now taken and with Shaul at 1 and 2 established centres it looks to be another year of him being their utility man.

When the World settles down from this Corona situation I’m thinking we will see some more raids by the NRL for 2022 and I would think Gildart would be a prime suspect for a move.

I would certainly be keeping an eye on the Connor situation as a potential replacement. Wonderfully talented player. I appreciate he isn’t everyone’s cup of tea due to his niggle but personally I like to see that.

His career has stalled a little mainly in my opinion because he is being constantly shunted around positions, think he could do very well once he was given time to settle in the centre.

Connor will be our starting full back next year. Jamie Shaul is going to miss most of the year through injury.

He’s miles better than Shaul too...he could be a real influential player from fullback. Shaul for me is bang average and may struggle for his spot back.

Spot on for me. Shaul is one of those attacking players who’d score 30 try’s in the Championship with ease but in Superleague he shows the odd moment here and there but I can think of at least 7 or 8 better fullbacks (including Connor).

Having a playmaker at the back of the field will help Hull - any team that sticks with a running fullback gets exposed badly in the modern game. We'll have to see how Reynolds goes - he'll need to be good as Sneyd is so limited. Radford's downfall was continually focusing his recruitment on the forwards and outside backs when it's been the playmakers who've needed sorting.

Lots of Aussie halfback recruits next year (nothing new I guess). Field, Lino,.Reynolds, Cogger - decent bet that Warrington will replace Widdop. Feels like pot luck as to which ones will work out.

Small set of British halfbacks for Wane to work with (again nothing new). Williams, Lomax, Gale and Widdop are probably the only realistic options assuming Wane doesnt opt for an Australian.

Heard a rumour today, totally unsubstantiated I may add, that we are looking at Fafita from Trinity.

Great player on his day and probably the type of player we need, but not with his baggage and form issues.

Nothing solid, it’s just a rumour doing the rounds in Wakefield.

If we could get him fit and motivated he would be a great addition to the squad. However it's a VERY BIG IF!!!!
