Heard a rumour today, totally unsubstantiated I may add, that we are looking at Fafita from Trinity.
Great player on his day and probably the type of player we need, but not with his baggage and form issues.
Nothing solid, it’s just a rumour doing the rounds in Wakefield.
They need a player off the quota to fit Gavet from Huddersfield in apparently but the report I read said it’s Tangata they’re trying to offload.
Fafita coming here would be an ironic move really given all his moaning about how dirty we are. It just doesn’t make sense to me and I don’t see him as a player who’d fit in to the Wigan way of doing things. It’s the sort of signing you’d look at on solely his best performances and say ‘yes please’ but when you start thinking about it, it feels like it could be a disaster waiting to happen if he did come here.
Some scientists claim that hydrogen, because it is so plentiful, is the basic building block of the universe. I dispute that. I say there is more stupidity than hydrogen, and that is the basic building block of the universe.

Most idiotic post ever goes to Grimmy..... The way to restart should be an arm wrestle between a designated player from each side.
I'm sure many will be disgusted by this, but should we be wary of signing a guy of his size at a time when so many changes are being made to make the game more speed and stamina focused? The fan in me would love us to have a prop skittling guys over, but the brain worries that '6 again', no scrums and 8 interchanges could result in a guy like Fifita spending a lot of his time trying to catch up with the game. That's aside from the fact I seriously doubt we have the cap space and wouldn't be keen to have him after how badly he let Wakey down with the tracker thing.

It makes no sense on many levels. I read a very loose rumour somewhere about us looking at Robbie Mulhern from Hull KR and he’d be the sort of mobile prop forward that I’d be trying to bring in (should we make the room). He’s very much a modern day prop in build and athleticism.
One issue everyone has who wants a prop or two is the amount of teams looking for them. Wire are on the hunt, Leeds are on the hunt and no doubt teams like Huddersfield and Hull will be as well. I read earlier Leeds have been informed by Ava Seumanufagai (and yes I googled that surname) that he won’t be coming back for 2021 as his partner is homesick. That’s a big blow for them but also leaves them with room and a desperation to compete for any available props.

I was calling for us to sign Fifita about five years ago and then again two years ago when he extended his contract. Not a 100% sure on what his current fitness status is but 'on his day' he's one hell of a handful player.
Don’t rate fafita, another big fish in a little pond that would struggle at Wigan. We see it time and time again big players pulling up trees at smaller clubs then they come to Wigan and it’s like we’ve signed a different player.

When he first came over he would have been outstanding and probably up to 2 years ago too, however since then attitude and injury has hampered his form.
Seemed to get his head screwed back on for last month of the season and started to show up pretty well again but for me it would still be a huge risk...and as stated no substance other than a few people had heard it.

Has the game moved on from guys like Fifita and his brother? He's mobile for his size, but with the 6 again rule would we see the best of him?
I'm not sure who the modern equivalent is, but we need an Andy Coley type player i.e decent yards every set and the ability to play high minutes. I genuinely don't think we need a superstar (even tho it would be nice). Scott Taylor would have been perfect, shame he had a pea heart.
