French is on his way back!

If we get a difficult cup draw hopefully we can get him back for that if not hopefully the Leeds game on the 15th April.

He does. One thing I haven’t mentioned when saying how he’s easily good enough is that shoulder problem he picked up. He’s said himself he’ll need to manage it for the rest of his career, so you’ve got to consider that and hope it doesn’t impact him too much. If it doesn’t then he’s good enough for many teams, both here and in the NRL.

I think they look at Super League players almost like we look at academy players. As though SL players are promising but unproven until they've played top level. You would have thought Williams had just come from St Pats u16s the way they were talking about him in his first NRL season. Bearing that in mind I do think age matters to them because they'll want a player who will learn and improve whilst he's there. Having said that, they did take a flyer on Ryan Hall late in his career, and I do agree that they probably anticipate British players going home after 2-3 seasons as we do with antipodeans.

Personally think Darrel Goulding was better all round player to be honest.

Think it's a poor effort at trolling given that Goulding's main strength was that he put his wingers away. I don't agree that he was better than Gildart is though. Both of them not great defensively, Gildart has more attacking prowess. I think Goulding's career would have been a lot better than it was if he came through 5 years later though playing in the dominant Maguire/Wane sides instead of the struggling Millward/Noble ones. He wasn't a bad winger either.
