Hastings and Gildart could be playing in the same team next year. Can't blame them really going to a superior competition on more money. Good luck to them

He may do but the talk does seem to be for next season. I’d like to think he’ll play the season out here and I’m confident he will do so. What will be will be though and if we end up with Harry Smith in the halves at some point this year then I’ll look forward to watching his he handles himself.

Gildart should concentrate on staying injury free and having a good run of games before thinking about the NRL. I personally don't even think he is good enough to play Centre out there.

Nor me.

I don't even know what injury is currently keeping him out of the first team, but it's getting to the stage where it no longer feels as if Oli Gildart is a Wigan player. Also, I'm not sure I'm that bothered.

Is Gildart out of contract this season?, If so then get Kotoni Staggs in, Young big centre who can fit into 2nd row as well a kicking

I doubt there's any chance of that. Got a massive future ahead of him in Aus.

Hastings departure confirmed by the club. An article in the Sydney Morning Herald states West’s are still looking to bring him in this season so I’d expect the ‘imminent departure’ rumours to gather pace

I think that's been put to bed now with the statements from both Wigan and Wests.

Will enjoy watching him next year in the NRL.

Interesting decisions for Wigan now regarding recruitment for next year. Hastings gone, Leuluai probably gone, French I would say doubtful to be at Wigan in 2022 and Field with a long-term injury.

The club and Hastings have confirmed he will be here until the end of this season and that’s good enough for me.

Let’s hope he goes out third time lucky in the Grand Final.
