Great in attack, very suspect in defence. Granted he was only young at the time but by all accounts had a huge ego back then.

How is he getting on in union? I know last year he scored a million tries in National League 1 but not heard too much about him since Northampton got back into the premiership? I though he might've broke in to the England Saxons (A Team) at least?

I'd take him back straight away, on the right ind of deal anyway.

Atleast if he was a winger he knows how to find gaps and support the man, even if he didnt get much actual service

Yes without doubt - I'd take any improvement on mathers, which would probably be anyone who can play fullback in both codes (except Platt )
