I dont see how its a problem. Add 10 quid to the season ticket price. If we get a home play off then the fans are happy if we dont then the club are happy. That is where the middle ground is. To be honest it is the only way to stop it from happening. I can't see how it's a major problem.

Genius!

Why could this not work?

If they made the ticket prices 10 quid for adults and 5 for Concessions for this game tonight there would be 14,000 plus :READING:

Ours won’t be much higher tonight 8000 max, it’s a sport problem not a club problem.

My husband just said the same if it’s anymore than that it’d be a shock to be honest

And take less money than they're getting now
And set the expectation that attending a match is only £10

Playing something like saturday, Tuesday, Friday, Monday, Thursday, Sunday, Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday

Yep, I remember that period. We didn't know if we were coming or going.....the players must have received 'shell shock'.

A schoolboys final at Central park years ago drew over 16,000. I have a pic of it from back then . It was either the 1930's or 1940's period.

It was for the Daily Despatch shield.

Re: Warrington attendance : Fri Sep 20, 2019 7:42 pm
Firstly, I was one of the 5k last night. Thursday nights are horrible for attendances, no kids due to school the next day, match on Sky etc, and games where season ticket holders have to pay for are usually poorly attended. This is the first year where we have had to pay for play off games.
But the main factor I feel is general apathy with the game, not just at our place where the rugby has been very poor for the last half of the season, but across the league. Just watching the televised games isn't as entertaining as it used to be.
Out of interest, what are they charging at your place for the game tonight. Last night, Wire were giving £5 off for season ticket holders. So for us in the south stand it was £17 for adults, £11 concessions. But non-season tickets holders aren't going to pay £22 for that. Seating prices will be even higher.

Felt good about our crowd tonight till it was announced as 9,200. If that’s right then we must’ve had less then 7,000 actually on the ground on a few occasions this year.

About what you'd expect for a play off game unfortunately but what an atmosphere, by a country mile the best all year.
Cracking effort from the Salford fans.
