With a very lightweight set of forwards available for Powell on Friday, it will be interesting to see how he approaches the game plan. Wigan currently have the best defence, so with less territory will Powell look to force play out wide and hope to snatch it through fancy moves? Bearing in mind Ratchford is a doubt and has been in great form, and Wrench isn't due back for a while, I'd guess at Currie left centre and Minikin on the right.

I'm never great at guessing scores but I'd plump for Warrington to suffer their first loss, but only by about 12 points. Wigan will need two big-ish victories from the next two matches to take top spot.

Wigan have known it for over a century, you seldom read posts about ‘theee Derby’ from Wigan, rather it’s a derby. Wigan have a long history with Wire….the biff says it all.

So it seems only now the fans of a team with no history before Alex Murphy are seeing it too. Wire living rent free.

You need to take more water with it mate

Why take Currie out of the pack, to put Mata’utia in it?

Smithies has received a 1 match penalty notice. I'm not sure what this was for exactly? That's a blow.

No mention of Singleton from the match review panel which was a common sense decision in my view.

Looking at all the charges across the league just confirms where we’re at now and that is the game has become trial by tv. If you’re on tv, you’re far more likely to face issues. Last week there were 6 charges, with us getting 5 from our tv game and this week there is an absolute mountain, which is a result of the extensive tv coverage.

Smithies is a massive blow. I was at the game at had watch it back and didn’t notice the incident either time.

The battle between him, Byrne and Havard - young academy products vs Kasiano, Vaughan and McGuire 30+ year old NRL imports would have been fascinating.

I have little to no confidence in Mago and Singleton.

If we had Field playing id back us to pinch it.

Wire look the best team in the league at the minute and are at home so they are rightly favourites.

Should be an intense game in front of a big crowd!
