It clearly needs work and we don’t look quite right but hopefully it’ll improve with time and patience. Salford were disjointed, so we were quite lucky in that regard but you take it where you can get it. We’ve got some fixtures now to work on things.

Big game tomorrow.

Hopefully last weeks performance can inspire some confidence.

Unlikely but a 20 point win would put us up to 3rd with games against Hudds and Wakefield upcoming.

Come on Wigan!

Boom! Exactly 20 point win. Up to third and in the cup semi. Our only league away game in the next 6 is Wakefield.

Good place to be considering we aren’t playing well.

Couldn’t make it today but will watch on Wigan TV and give my full thoughts.

Good win which puts us in a far better position but I find it difficult to be upbeat after that. Not keen on our attacking set up at the moment - its not clicking. French has gone from looking like the obvious Man of Steel to a bit part player. Lucky Salford were missing Croft, Ackers and Brierley in the 2nd half.

Not clicking mate but we’ve been missing players all year. Nice to take advantage of it for once.

I think French needs to just settle and play his game and not try to be a traditional stand off. He very rarely took on the line today, instead passing the ball on and kicking from hand. It’s understandable when you move in to a position of responsibility like stand off but he just needs to ask himself ‘what don’t the opposition want me to do?’ and that is to run the ball.

We are coming to the boil quite nicely. Absolutely no need to be downbeat. We have proved over the last couple of seasons that we are well capable of turning it up for the big games. I am expecting victories all the way now leading up to the cup semi and whilst it's very important to not get complacent, it gives us an opportunity to throw a few new moves and combinations about. I would look at getting Nsemba involved again now for a couple of games with a view to him being in contention for the cup game. Give him good minutes and see how he goes for an extended period. Hull KR have Leigh away, Hull FC at home and then Leeds away before they meet us. I would be looking at resting a few players in the next couple of weeks with a view to getting the starting 17 against KR to play the week before against Wire to blow the cobwebs off.

I think that is an excellent point. He needs to play like Brodie Croft. Croft isn’t a great kicker of the ball but he is a devastating runner.

On a more positive note, it is good to see that we are defending better, which is critical if we are to win trophies.

We have tried several combinations this season we just need to settle on one and stick with it, whatever that combination is will take some games to settle so there will be times when the attack will be a bit clunky, Going forward , if we can keepplayers fir, we should see things improve as players find their range and other get used to how the team is working. Picking up wins like today is not a bad way to go whilst things ettle in - and with some potentially easier games in the next week or two that may help.

We were lucky that Salford had a couple of key players missing.
In the first half we had a big territorial advantage but struggled again to turn pressure into points.
Obviously happy with the win and the the points differential.
I thought Mago played better than he has done for quite a while.
