Yeah, he was back really early. My point with him has always been that he missed the majority of pre season due to injury. He was a major doubt for the first game but seemed to be rushed back as we were short on numbers with two lads either in Oz or just back and we paid for rushing him in with a major injury. He had a back issue all pre season and his hamstring went in his first game. We then get French back in the middle of an injury crisis in the outside backs. He looked to be carrying extra weight from last season due to the lack of a proper pre season and does his hamstring a couple of games in.

Ahhh I understand what you mean.
For me, French has gotten off a little lightly. I don't know if it's because he keeps his head down, or because he's such an entertaining player but he gets half the amount of stick that Hastings does.
If you compare the shape that both came back in, it was night and day. I'd happily give someone like Jackson that bit if wiggle room with preseason dates, because you know they are competitors and will come back in top shape.
I guess the elephant in the room is now - if French wasn't as committed to his preseason plan as he should have been, is he going to be the same with his rehab? I do get the reasons for him being at home and support it, but we're also a business and have a hell of a lot invested in him.
Some scientists claim that hydrogen, because it is so plentiful, is the basic building block of the universe. I dispute that. I say there is more stupidity than hydrogen, and that is the basic building block of the universe.

GI leaving means Wire have cap space. That said, should Wire be open to him leaving - I'm sure Austin would have lots of motivation should he be released, and we are desperate for some attacking threat. It could work well for both parties on a short term deal, he puts himself in the shop window, with a point to prove and motivation, we get a short term signing that is a potential game changer.
