We’ve said that about Willie Isa for about 5 years and he’s always been a starter. It helps how durable he is but he’s also done a damn fine job.

As for where I’d play him, he be right second row, with Faz at 12 and Bateman 13 (or possibly him and Bateman swapping places). He’s a better player than any of the others named and whilst I rate all the young lads, they need to develop enough to take his place, not the other way round.

I agree with another year as a rotational squad player.

Putting Isa, Partington, KPP, Smithies, Shorrocks, Farrell and Bateman into 3 places will be tough even with injuries and whatever else.

We really need the likes of Powell, Hardaker, Bateman, Farrell to step up as leaders next year. Hastings does a hell of a lot of talking on the pitch and will be tough to replace.

Whilst we haven’t been directly linked with him he has been linked with a move to SL but Milford it is being reported is in the final throws of negotiating a deal with an unnamed NRL club.

It isn't tough now, how do you know it won't be tough during next season at certain points?

He gets in if his form is better than the others and that is how it should be.

Having three senior back rowers is ideal IMO. If you let Isa go and then only have two, you’re one injury or suspension away from having a mainly inexperienced back row. It’s extremely unlikely the three would be available all season, so natural chances will come around for KPP, Shorrocks, McDonnell etc plus you have at least one bench spot for Smithies, Partington and the others. It’s the exact quality and experience balance we need for me and it’s exactly what we don’t have in the front row currently.

His NSW cup stats are good. Plays around 50-60 mins and gets in and around 150m a game.

Sao and Satae posted good numbers in metres and offloads in the NSW Cup before we signed them, and they've turned out well for us!

Agree with this, think Mago will go very well over here, will be just what you need imo.

Seems to pick up more than a fair share of injuries as well. He’s not a bad player by any stretch but I think we could do better.
