I think the best part of Bibby’s game is his finishing, put him in the centres and you take this away and I have seen nothing from him to think he has anything to offer in the centres. I think people say this because he’s slow and think his lack of pace wouldn’t be as detrimental in the centres. For me I’d rather have Thornley and maybe even Hankinson if you factor in his goal kicking.

Tough night for Field and to be fair he needs time and games, but on that performance we desperately need to replace Hastings.

Hastings was worth the admission money. The guy was in everything good we did.

Great intensity in everything Hastings did tonight. Totally wasted at fullback and I’m glad Hardaker slotted back in. More glimpses from Bateman but Smith returned to what i think it’s fair to say was his usual poor self.

He obviously had the one big mistake (the kick out on the full), but I'm sure he made a couple of breaks too.

Like the rest of this team, there's potential there. I feel like they've just been let down by Lam and senior management.

I genuinely cannot remember a player kicking out on the full as often as he does.

I’ve made my opinions clear on him on another thread so will leave it at that.

In regard Hastings, I genuinely believe he could force his way into Origin and International selection assuming they don’t hold his England caps against him.

I just want to see him string a few decent games together but he just can’t seem to manage it. Each game basically ends up with Hastings taking over to do things Smith and even Powell should be doing and it’s a bit tiresome now to be honest. A good coach would have ironed out some of the nonsense we’ve seen this season too but I think we are past hoping for a change in that department.

He's certainly talented and versatile enough to play at that level. I know he's played there at junior level too. It will take a hell of a lot of work tho. That NSW team seems pretty locked in for most of the positions he plays in.

At the very least, I can see him driving Wests into the top 8.
