There's protocol between clubs to release this sort of info, it's usually agreed so the departing club can put a statement out shortly after.

Seems odd unless we’re trying to announce it at the same time as a signing. But everyone knows Bullock is going so a bit pointless holding it back.

I’m guessing it’s timing.

Wigan know that fans need hope right now and if players are leaving then they know that people want to know that better players are arriving.

I’d imagine Wigan want to announce a trio of new arrivals but are still trying to get a couple of them over the line.

Thornley alone isn’t going to cut it.

Bullock is under contract until 31st Oct. From Nov 1st he's a free agent and Wire can announce his joining their club.
Wigan might have a player signed who doesn't want it announced until his season is over with his present club.
No doubt if Wire are to announce Bullock signing then Wigan will want to counter that with good news over a signing too.

This is pretty normal at the season's end and clubs (or fans) are not surprised by any of this.

I don’t think so?

It’s like the club is treating that like bad news and waiting for something good to announce with it… but we will see. I’d expect a few things to come out next week now there can’t be any “distractions”.

No obsession, I just think he looked solid enough and he’s a great kicker. It’s also a sign of how weak we are at centre.
