Mick the Oxford united fan said that we would become a laughing stock wit a mediocre squad thanks to Lenners, He did the same with Oxford united according to Mick, , I know a huge amount on here worship at the altar of Lenagan due to him sorting out the finances and bringing in Madge back in the day but that was over a decade ago, He has had his time, his meagre wealth is not enough to build New Central Park or properly fund the team ala The Big Three, Come on Leners, do what is right for the club, Find a mega `rich buyer, Sack Rads then sell on the club.

A very good assessment of the present day situation as previous management/owners has shown over the years.

The ten strong board of Directors until the late seventies, the gang of four of the eighties and nighties all came and went and it would appear that the same is now happening with the present ownership, especially when you look at the some of the signings made over the past three seasons or so and lack of better signings to improve the squad for next season compared to other clubs like Leeds, St Helens and Warrington because of the poor financial situation of the club.

I think one of the main differences here will be that whenever IL does decide to leave (if he ever does) that he won't leave the club in massive debt

Not sure what the point of your question is?

No one knows who'd be willing to buy the club until if/when it comes up for sale. It's not like there's some approved buyer list that people have to register their intention of interest on. As an example, how many people had IL down as a potential owner when Whelan sold up?

People keep telling him to sell the club as though someone with £20m+ (I believe that is IL's worth) is sat waiting to come in and buy it. TBF, to do what these people usually want they would need more like £30m+ to be richer than IL AFTER they've bought the club and then be prepared to write off the losses each year with very little hope of ever seeing your money again.

Sorry, make that £50m+ because they need to buy the club and then build a new stadium and then still have more money than IL currently has, be prepared to write off losses etc etc.

Just seen an article from ‘serious about rugby league’ saying that Richardson will be a castleford player in 2022 so at least that’s a bullet dodged.
