Very much doubt we see Charnley back at Wigan. Especially with Wane back. He doesn't have the pace anymore (nowhere near what he used to have) and he doesn't do much else apart from finish try's off. Should have never have left. Just another case of 'the grass is always greener' brigade. Should have fought for his spot back from Manfredi. Thanks but no thanks. Enjoy Leigh though.

After Miski and Marshall I'd have Halsall as reserve winger.

I did think about Halsall to be honest but I prefer him in his natural position

Wow, I was under the impression that's what Wingers were expected to do.


As for pace, neither did Billy in his later years, but still finished tries.


The big mistake was letting Tom Davies leave as his forrm for Catalan and section for England has proved.

Problem is with 4 1st choice wingers, and no guarantee of 1st team rugby, Tom did the best thing for his career and moved on, as he was in reality probably 4th (at best 3rd) choice at that point in time. Whilst, there is nothing wrong with that (being 4th choice), with Burgess, Manfredi and poss marshall in front of you, if you believe you are good enough, at times the only option is a move elsewhere. The downside from our perpsective is that both Manfredi and Burgess never really got back to where they should have been, and Tom's chance would have come much quicker if he had stayed? From what i saw, he did it professionally and didnt throw his toys out of the pram, so fair play to the lad, and good luck to him at Catalan

In KPP's case, I am in no doubt whatsover that he is capable of playing centre, if circumsatances in team selection required it.

Especially when in todays game, players now have to be now more flexible than in the past!

Ashurst was a centre he converted to the pack.
