I don't think we should be recruiting any more than 1 from overseas next year - we need to work on getting our numbers down to around 3-4.

Seriously though, Joel Moon is very young and is a potential long term replacement for Carmont on the left side.

Konrad Hurrel is a frightening player made his full debut at centre last week. The raw power he has for his age is unbelievable.

He is immense and will be a superstar of the game. The Manly team were having a heck of a job to stop him so I cant only imagine what he was like in the u20s comp last season. Just to think as well he has only played League for a year too

I think this is the ideal situation for every club in Super League.

We must surely be in a position to do so. We have Carmont and Leuluai leaving with Amos Roberts likely to follow. Brett Finch is the only OOC overseas player left, but I'd certainly keep him in that "3-4" overseas players bracket.

If we were to keep Finch, see Roberts/Carmont/Leuluai leave and not sign anymore overseas players that would leave us with just four overseas players - Finch/Lima/Lauaki/Gelling. A very respectable number for a club like Wigan.

Although having said that, with the personnel leaving, I think we'll sign one more overseas player.

I watched the Toyota Cup final last season and Konrad Hurrell just looked and acted like a seasoned pro the guy has a big future ahead of him, I'm hoping he stays with the Warriors he completely suits their style of play.

Scott Dureau would be a great signing, still a good age and his kicking game would improve us significantly.

We're on the verge of blooding 2 youngsters who would automatic replacements in the 6,7,9 area, so I would reserve judgement until the end of the season.
The CCF weekend is the time to take stock of where the weak positions are.
For example - we have been hitting ourselves over the head about new centres, and yet we now have 2 home grown players looking as though they have the potential to fill those spots for a long time to come.
The youngsters that Wane developed and the signings during the off season has certainly strengthened the props and centre areas, which were looking a problem barely 9 months ago.

However good a player Scott Dureau is, I would rather see a good academy prospect in that position and use the quota spot to plug a gap where the team is lacking.

Sorry to disappoint you but Joel Moon has just started a 2 year deal, I'd imagine/hope that we (Salford) would demand a rather large fee for you to take him from us
