Yeah I think Facebook and Twitter have had a big impact on poster numbers to be fair. You don't really need to go on RLFans to talk to people on the Internet about rugby anymore.

I’m relatively new to the site. The reason I made an account was because FB is 95% winding up opposition fans and each other, 5% talking actual rugby. Apart from the odd thread/post on here I feel you get better rugby discussion. Just to add if no one has, check out the r/superleague page on Reddit

I don't do Twitter and although I do have a FB account I very rarely post anything
However - My observations are similar to yours

95% of Twitter & FB is just Petty point scoring and does not encourage meaningful debate - It's very similar to our current political situation (And USA) were Soundbites, slogans, and saying anything irrespective of any truth to look good when none of it stands up to scrutiny is more important than Facts/Policy etc.

Even though I have my occasional Foe, the level of debate (Although not as good as it was purely down IMO to the reduced numbers) is still far better than other platforms.

Talkboards like this are increasing the home of the relatively elderly; young people are all about the Instagram etc.

I think by the time he gets anywhere near the exit of the retail park he may come to the conclusion that it is now inescapable and have to sign for us.
