Kevin Proctor off contract and being offered to SL clubs, we would be unstoppable if we could add him and Taupau to our pack while coming to agreements with Isa and Miski

For me we have 4 of our 5 prop rotation set for next season (Mago, Ellis, Byrne, Havard) one of those 2 would be a great replacement for Singleton if he leaves but for me I think we have a bigger need at centre for a big money signing and I’d be happy if Singleton stays and we run with the props we have.

A missed opportunity tonight by Brett French. I don’t get why he has to overthink what he should do with ball in hand. Just run the thing forward with pace and aggression - Miski gave him a lesson in that tonight.

A fair point though, nevertheless. French didn't have his best game, although the try-saving tackle was pretty good.

He got tracked down in the semi final too, which just wouldn't have happened before his injury. Has he lost a yard of pace? Is it due to a lack of pre-season?

Yeah definitely. He just looks off the pace with not having a preseason since 19-20.

French getting caught last night was down to Thornley not making the fullback commit, he passed too early. He was coming across and not from behind, he had to stop the fullback or at least slow him down, he did neither which made it am easy tackle on French.

Thornley needed to step in then pass out, leaving the fullback having to check his run and like you said he passed to early, although if you dont get the timing right you risk the fullback getting a touch on it, but someone with his experience should have dne better
