I wouldn’t mind taking a punt on him. Always had a solid game for Wire. Would add some much needed experience to the props

I was all up for signing him until I realised he will be 34 at the start of next season. Last season he was one of the best props in the league and he would be a like for like upgrade on Singleton but his age does put he me off him, I’m also guessing that his move maybe based on the length of contract Warrington are willing to offer? I don’t think you’d want to offer much more than a year contract, maybe a second if he hits targets in the first , maybe he wants more stability and is asking for a 3 year deal?

We don’t need a prop.

We have Singleton, Ellis, Havard, Byrne, Mago and Partington under contract for next year.

Sure we’d love to upgrade a couple but we won’t sign one unless someone leaves.

We’ll only sign people who need replacing so Bibby and Hardaker. So at least 2 outside backs will be on the shopping list.

Perhaps French too.

I don’t think we’ll sign a prop either but we’re one top quality starting prop short IMO. The thing we do have though is some young props, with loads of improvement in them, so if they continue moving forward that need will hopefully naturally disappear.

The three quarter line is going to need real attention for 2023. It’s looking like we’ll be minus Hardaker, Bibby and probably French from this season. We’re going to need at least 2 quality replacements.

“Triple M” in Oz saying Wigan are looking at Paul Vaughan. Not sure how credible they are but hope it’s true.

Doesnt sound like a Wigan signing to me. Can't remember the last over 30 Australian we signed.

Good player but can see him taking up a fair wage and at 31 it doesn't really feel like a move Wigan would make. Time will tell. I'd be looking to move Partington on if we are genuinely looking to bring him in.

I’m not sure we need another prop at the moment unless one is leaving.

Vaughn is a decent enough player but as others have said he doesn’t seem to me a Wigan type signing.

I don’t think it’s an age thing, I’m sure he could give 2 or 3 good years I think it’s more his reputation away from the pitch that is the issue.

Peet seems to be really focussing on the culture of the club and Vaughn has a reputation for not being the most disciplined.
