Charnley would be a good buy if the moneys right. In a team playing good attacking rugby he would be a good asset. Would he get dispensation on the cap for being home grown and coming through our academy? Could Make it even more attractive if so

Wouldn’t be opposed to it, we need outside backs and need to sign English players.

2 year deal wouldn’t be bad.

Charnley's time has been and gone.
One of my favourite wingers of all time but his once fantastic pace has been missing for the best part of 6 years or more.

I've seen rumours that Warrington may also be looking to release Ratchford. Now he's 34, granted. But I would definitely look to give him a cheeky 12 month deal, great goalkicker as we know and can cover all the backline positions.

It would also give him chance to play for his hometown team, he's well respected by the club as you can see from his interview last season.

We did something similar for Deacon and he won the Grand Final with us.

Like I said, I wouldn't be against it but if he decided to stay with Wire until retirement then it wouldn't bother me either.

Milk turns quicker than Charnley nowadays. He’s been a top, top winger but there’s absolutely no need to bring him back. There seems to be a fair bit of recruiting to do for the back line but I hope Charnley isn’t one of them.

We need a back up for Field, a back up to Cust and Smith (presuming Tommy retires) and some options at centre. He may well be past his best but it’s unlikely you get him in as a squad player, on squad player money when he was. If there is a player available from Wire we should be targeting, it’s Ratchford IMO as well. I’d still see Field, Cust, Smith and 2 centres starting above him in an ideal world but there are always injuries, suspensions, loss of form etc and he covers so many bases.

Charnley's time at Wigan has gone, we need 1 if not 2 centres, otherwise next year it Thornley and Halsall with Isa and Bateman as backup

I see Tom Johnstone is injured again, real shame for him. Have to wonder where he will end up next season.
