i wasn't that bothered about hill leaving, cooper hurts a bit, i'd happily have given him a 2 year deal with no hesitation, he should have been inconsideration for man of steel a couple of times in recent years, he's a machine.

and considering how much price flogged him for 4 years, its amazing he's still at this level.

Pleased with the Cooper signing although there's always an increased risk of injury with players towards the end of their career (e.g. Leuluai and O'Loughlin).

Also good to see Wigan showing some ruthlessness in trimming some of the salary cap fat. Bibby and Partington are both solid enough in the right role but I'd like to think we could get better. The Willie Isa contract was a mistake - I wonder whether the club will also look to cut that one short.

To be fair, he's done pretty well for us. I remember being very underwhelmed by his signing but he's bees a good, solid player. Sadly, as a quota player, he now needs to go

I'd love to see him become a academy, or scholarship coach at the club. I think that sometimes, at that level, it's more about being a role model to the lads vs a being a technical coach. There's no better pro at Wigan than Isa and the advice he can give the young lads, especially the ones who get cut, is unrivalled. He's played for the Storm, been released and had to work his way back via "undesirable" clubs.

I respect Isa so much, he has been a fantastic signing.

I was very underwhelmed when we signed him too but my friend who was on the Widnes coaching staff at the time was adamant he would be a success and he was correct.

Absolute beast the kind of player I love, not necessarily the most naturally talented but always the hardest worker in the room and tough as old boots.

I’m in the, it’s time for him to go camp, but only because he is a quota player.

I think we will see a fair bit of him the rest of this year as we rotate the squad and I hope he goes out on a high, but we must be looking at negotiating his release given out limited options on the overseas quota spots.

We should not be carrying quota players who are not nailed on in the 17 if fit.

He has - but a 2 year contract extension didnt make sense with plenty of young second rowers available.
