That last line added with his age is the worry for me, at 34 at the start of next season and a lot of miles on the clock and also a brutal style he probably should already be slowing down big time, Wigan have to just hope he’s a freak and can carry on at this level for another year or two, Wire are probably thinking/hoping the opposite and if he’s fallen out with Powell that’s made the decision easier.
In todays prop market there is going to be very few guaranteed slam dunk signings so I am happy with this, although the shorter the deal the better for the club.
