On Saturdays form you’d want to keep Partington but something has to give eventually, be that him leaving or somebody like Shorrocks leaving. We just can’t get them the minutes they all need. You always need to keep the cream of the crop and Smithies, Havard and Byrne are that.
It might be worth seeing if OP would take a season loan at either a high end championship or lower end SL club next year. It would allow him to develop with regular minutes which he needs.
