A Scott Dureau and Brett Finch halfback combination would be the best in the competition without a doubt. The only qualm you could possibly have is where it leaves Mellor and Powell, but as far as I can see neither are prepared enough to take over a halfback spot for the entire season.

Joe Mellor needs Challenge Cup games and being introduced from the bench in matches throughout the season. Sam Powell could do with a dual-registration contract.

The two halfbacks that I'm most excited about though are Ryan Hampshire and George Williams. The England halfback pairing for their age - two talented lads.
