I wonder if his Twitter response to a Hull FC fan played a part?! Not the best look posing with a beer in response to somebody questioning you earning your money.

I sat at the end of the Hull game recently when he was up to his usual antics and said to my mate that he could have his day out but that the Wigan players would get the last laugh when they’re in finals and he’s on the scrap heap. It’s come a bit sooner than I expected.

Connor staying at Hull now apparently. Think that would put a pin in the French rumours from us.

I'd imagine we have an aussie half lined up to replace Reynolds.

Could Connor not move to the halves and French to full back? I also thought you where signing Truman?

That's what I thought could happen, but we've signed a young aussie 7 to replace Gale.

According to the rumour mill we are looking at Dean Hawkins at Souths, and organising 7. Think we're looking at bringing him in early to try and save the season.

If Connor stays and Hawkins comes in to play alongside Trueman, I'm not sure where French fits in

Hopefully French resigns, we sign a left centre to replace Bibby (Wardle), Tommy does a final year, KPP see’s out his contract. McDonnell I think unfortunately will go as too much competition for his position.

Would be very happy with that squad, cover at all positions. If KPP leaves we’d need another centre imo, although Thornley/Halsall/Isa we could get away with.

Looks very strong and not a lot of change from this year, I would personally have Singleton on the bench and Byrne starting but we’ve got loads of options in the forwards.

2 centres needed - Wardle & Guy Armitage will do
Tommy needs to retire - replace from within/Jobs for the boys
We had the chance to bring in Faf De Klerk but Lenners bolloxed that up
release Mago and bring in Martin Taupau
