It's now become a big thing to pretend you didn't pay very much for a player. Wire fans tried to do the same with Matt King, even though counter-rumours told a very different story.

At the end of the day, clubs can say what they want because no-one's really in a position to check. But one thing is certain: a marquee player is not going to any club, no matter how ambitious they are, for monkey nuts.

Glad he has gone to Hull. He could help turn them into a real contender for the title IMO. We could potentially have 6 team in with a real shout next season.

There are 6 teams who have a shout this season for me. Hull would make it 7.

For Hull FC to kick on from this they must keep Tom Briscoe and Willie Manu.

Rumours on there that Moa/O'Meley will both be leaving and Tickle will be pushed to prop. Suddenly there pack doesn't look as strong.

Excellent signing for them nevertheless. The meltdown on the Leeds board is hilarious.

Although I stopped reading when one Leeds fan claimed that JJB, Delaney, Ablett are the best back three in Super League.

Some of the back tracking from the Whino's lot is hilarious, Gone from being a class English player turning heads and doing a great job in the NRL who is worthy of playing for a Club like Leeds to a player who is to old and past it for them and not good enough to contend with their current squad.

To be fair, Matt King's first season suggested that we'd been quite fortunate to be outbid. It was easy for us to say that we were glad we hadn't landed him. I'll concede that later on he was pretty good, but I doubt he was ever worth the rumoured £250K.

I meant when the signing was announced. We didn't know King would be poor in his first season.

hull have done well to sign him he is a qaulity player. but hes picking up a few injuries lately hasn't looked as good this season as previous for the tigers. both the leeds and hull fans are laughable to be honest talking of championship being won 18 months before behave! i dont think he will be the best 2nd row in superleague next season if anything i still think manu from hull will be better in attack as he is suited to superleague none structed style of play, but it will big a task to out perform westwood from warrington i really wished a nrl side would sign him from a selfish point of view.
