Mind you, I do think, NRL coaches think, pah, tries are easy to score in SL.

Watson has announced that Leutele is leaving, he’s previously been linked with us and the talk is he’s coming to either us or Catalans. Although 32 he’s one of if not the best centre iv seen in the Superleague this year and would be really happy with that signing although that would probably spell the end for the Wardle links who is obviously a better long term prospect due to his age and being non quota.

We’d have to drop an overseas player to fit him in but I’d be really happy with him dependant on who he was replacing. If it were Isa or Miski for example, then that’s fine.

In truth I’d fully expect him to be fit under Catalans never ending salary cap though, if they are in the hunt alongside us. They’re getting shut of Whare, so will no doubt want a replacement.

I wouldn’t be suprised to see Wardle and Leutele at Wigan next year.

I’m confident we have wrapped up Wardle I just have a feeling about Leutele. I think something may happen in the offseason that may see a quota spot open up.

Catalans seems to be the social media rumour for Leutele. To get both would be the stuff of dreams but I’d be over the moon with just Wardle. If we went in to 2023 with options of Wardle, Thornley, KPP and Halsall, that would do me. I said we probably needed two after last week on the basis that Halsall didn’t seem like getting a chance but now he has, hopefully he can be one of the two.
