I'll get shot down for this, but Budgie is looking a stone lighter and much sharper this year for Salford, should French go I'd love to see him back, I never wanted him to leave (all that said, I've no idea what his contract situation is). I think he flourish playing in this current team.

If its Burgess at his best then we could do lot worse. Injuries never seem to be too far away with him though.

That Salford backline is top notch. Hopefully they can find a solution to their financial issues and recruit a couple of forwards for next year. Nothing to stop them having another crack at the finals.

I would take a punt on Burgess and Marshy as our Wingers and Makinson as backup.

Would be okay until Budge started agitating to go somewhere else ... if past form's anything to go by, that would be about 10 minutes after he's arrived. If his mates have anything to do with it, 5 minutes.

Trust me, we're well shot of that bunch.

Be interesting to see how he does in a team that’s not as bad as Wests and gives him more attacking opportunities and less defence to do, although the Roosters are far from flying themselves they’re still a step up.
