I find Dan's postings as entertaining as any others and I don't see them as being any more or less damaging than any other poster's speculation.
I used to have a really good source in the club but he is no longer there. Not a lot is an absolute secret in a modern day transfer but the club did well with Cust and if we are signing Wardle there doesn't seem to be masses of info on it. His loan to Wire has muddied the waters.
The problem with Dan is he goes all Russell Grant about May time and his hints could be any player in the world from positions 1-13 and then when we sign somebody he hasn't even mentioned he gives it the 'i told you so routine' He brings the criticism on himself, nobody does it for him and thats because his 'scoops' are more like teaspoons.
His best one recently is that about 2 months ago he told the world that the French contract is almost there, it's all but signed. Has French morphed into a t-rex and he cant reach the dotted line. If it's all but signed why isn't it just signed? Oh that's right, because French himself told the world on Sky Sports that if he didn't get a deal in the NRL he would sign a new contract.
