I might be being a bit naïve here but Bevan doesn’t strike me as the type to do anything that might harm the club.

That being said, you would think a deadline will have been agreed.

I’ve got a very good contact at Wigan, one of my best mates. Just that he’s still not decided, the reports in Aus seem to have shot the gun somewhat.

There is currently no deadline, this is from an extremely reliable source. I got the impression from the conversation & his interview put together that he’s more than likely staying!

Why would it?

If Wigan got him in touch with a local plumber who had no affiliation with the club?

If the club were employing him themselves then I am sure the salary would need to be relevant to the role or else you get into the “spirit of the cap” territory.

The Wardle situation looks to have taken a twist. Ian Watson has bagged Wire for loaning King to us, stating they wanted him permanently or not at all and he’s said there’s no chance Wardle will be going to Wire and unless things change, he’ll be a Huddersfield player in 2023.

Not sure if that’s positive for us or not.

I read that article too,Watson not to happy in regards to King only seemingly being offered on a loan deal to the giants..stating why work on a player for a year only for him to return to the parent club..I can’t help but feel he has a point there.

The only thing I’m confused by is that Watson has done loan swaps for full seasons in the past and he was happy to complete a loan only deal for King this season. It just seems like he expected a permanent swap deal to happen and is unhappy it’s not going to be the case.
