Give them a fee for Bateman and Burgess and loan them back till the end of the year. Don't like seeing clubs take advantage but I'd rather something like that then see them go bust.

Greg Bird would be outstanding. When he was at Catalan he was the best player in SL at times.

The problem i'd have with Bird is we need players to fit our team and the positions we need to strengthen in and I struggle to see where he fits. He wouldn't be as creative as Finch at 6, he isn't going to displace a player as good as Lockers at 13 and he'd be a waste of money to stick in the second row when we're littered with them.

Scott Prince wouldn't be a bad shout but it looks unlikely the Titans will be going down the pan anytime soon. I read on the SMH website earlier that theyre close to signing Cooper Cronk on a four year deal so unless he's been asleep it would seem to signal their survival.

The centre Beau Champion (is that his name? ) would have been a cracking signing from what I saw of him last year.

I would expect Bateman to attract the most interest but if Warrington want him, which I suspect they will, then I cannot see any other club being able to compete with us when it comes to paying a transfer fee.

Wire have tried for Bateman before so I suspect they'd be favourites if he does become available.

It would surely need to be for 2013 though as I can't see how they could have even 5p's worth of room under the cap this year.

Suppose there's ways and means though.
