I've watched Hanley plenty times, has done nothing to stand out in the reserves. He is an athlete but often goes missing during games.

I wouldn’t to be honest.

Hanley has struggled at Wigan and the club have supported him well away from the game.

I think Hanley would benefit from a fresh start elsewhere and I think that’s what will happen as and when he gets a decent offer.

There was buzz with Hanley coming through the juniors but I’m wondering if it was all because of his surname (didn’t watch much academy at the time he came through) because what he has shown when in the first team hasn’t been great, there really wasn’t much to even grasp at as potential, that said he played when our attack was woeful under Lam and you look at the improvement others had under Peet maybe he’s worth another try? As others have said the better route to the first team would be as a back up half, not sure if he’s ever played that position before?

Dodds and Hanley were the outstanding players at junior level.

Is it just a rugby league thing where people feel the need to add an S at the end of a players surname that’s not supposed to be there?

A lot of people do that with Dodd. Burrow used to be another one, quite a few called him Burrows. And some also did with Wilkin

Weirdly with Wilkin most people spell it with a W, an A, an N, a K, an E and an R.
