Mamo has retired from Cas and Wakey are on the lookout for a winger. Can't help but feel that we should be doing all we can to move Miski onto to one of these two & get that quota space free.
Wakefield don’t have a quota spot and are desperate for forwards they still hand 3 front line wingers.
Mamo opens up a quota spot for Cas but there is much more to his “retirement” than meats the eye.
I’d be very surprised if they are not looking for a forward too to replace him on the quota as their pack is probably the worst in the league.
I expect we have made arrangements to move Miski on if/when a quota player of the right quality becomes available.
If one doesn’t become available I think he will stay with us. The last thing we need to go make a knee jerk signing and be stuck with them beyond this year if they are not the right fit. I think he is certainly good enough for SL but could probably get a better wage in the Championship plus their lack of quota rules and links to London I’d expect him to head back there.
There is nearly always an NRL player who drops a major brain fart mid season and becomes untouchable in Australia, fingers crossed it happens this year and we can take advantage.
