He’s playing out of his skin the lad and fair play to him. Wigan have plenty to be proud of watching so many top players, who they have brought through the academy here, playing so well. They’re doing that for Wigan, Warrington, Salford, Catalans, Huddersfield, Leeds, Leigh and even in the NRL.
I don’t think anyone is being bitter when they point out that Williams has form for playing out of his skin when money is on the table (we’ve seen it here) but I don’t think it’s just that this time. I genuinely think he’s finally started to realise how good he is and that NRL spell has given him confidence. Him and Harry Smith should be the England halfback pairing on form and again that is something Wigan can be extremely proud of.
