23 LEAGUE TITLES 21 CHALLENGE CUPS 5 WORLD TITLES SAYS IT ALL REALLY
I'd have preferred us to go in hard for Tom Burgess. He's was excellent at the world cup and only 30. Interesting that South's have gone down the route of 1 year deals with him. Could we have got him with a 3 year deal?

As a side note, I can't help but think there's some rough diamonds to find in the QLD cup. Guys like Lachlan Timms would smash it over here.
Someone like Lachlan Timms, or Nick Lui-toso would rip it up here. Lui-toso signed a one year deal with St George, but he's not played. Both have a history of absolutely eating up yards in that comp.

As a Saints fan Wigan signing him wouldn't bother me one bit he used lockdown to secure a eearly release from Saints as he refused to take a pay cut

I'd much rather have Tom Burgess than Thompson, but aren't all the Burgii all pretty settled in Oz? I doubt he'd want to return to the UK.

Massive risk, in the World Cup he didn't look anything like the player who left Saints and now he's recovering from a serious injury, only thing going for him is he's non quota

If Cooper doesn’t get retained or he retires it’s looking a big change in personnel in the pack next season.
Bateman gone and not replaced yet
Mago going
Singleton going
KPP going
Cooper?
Isa?
Ellis?
I think if Isa can keep the sort of form up he has shown this season I would 100% offer a contract extension same with Ellis. When does Havards contract run out? Is it the end of this season?or next season? I’d be looking to tie him and Byrne up for as long as possible.
On another note It’s also going to create an opportunity for Hill and Nsemba to bed into the side if they’re good enough and from what I saw in the academy I think both are, just a shame we couldn’t hold on to Nicholson.
