Good ball runner never paid much attention to his defence, has looked good in poor team.

"He has averaged 37.5 tackles per game this season at a completion rate of 94.2 per cent. With the ball he has made 90 metres a game, making six offloads and five line breaks."

Taken from the yorkshire live article (bare in mind this is NRL stats so metres made will be over the advantage line and not metres with ball in hand like ours is). Not too shabby stats, will watch a couple of his games from this season on Watch NRL when i get chance and see what i think of him.

It depends what type of second rower we want I suppose but he seems a grafter and if we want one of those, I’d probably go after Kai O’Donnell in the first instance. He’s settled in the area already and is a good age and playing very well. I could see Beaumont putting decent money on the table to keep him mind.

I thought the metres made was the other way round hence the massive figures we often get in the NRL?

I thought that too, and I've often wondered what sort of 'fiddle factor' could be applied to make the figures roughly comparable.

I'm pretty sure that the NRL quote both metres made and post contact meters.

If O'Donnell is an option then he would be a solid option aswell, liked the look of him at Canberra and what i have seen of him at Leigh, he is 5 years younger too although smaller than Fitzgibbon.

A lot of risk removed signing an overseas player who is already settled in the comp.

Wane a known admirer of his too.

I would guess he would be a target.

Looks like Andre Savelio being offered out to other clubs. In his Saints and Wire days he was done player. Surely Wigan will be considering him. Is he federation trained?

I thought about Savelio - initial instinct is there's too much risk with injury record, lack of form and Smith is clearly leaving him out for a reason atm. But who knows - maybe Peet and Wigan might think they can turn him around just like they've done with King thus far.

You have to wonder the thoughts of those in positions of influence at Wigan regarding the Savelio/Clubb incident. They took the ban on the chin but we can’t be certain that they feel Savelio was the out and out victim in it all. He doesn’t feel much like a Wigan type of player.
