Sounds like Walters is miffed at the lack of game time at Leeds which is why he is leaving, I would say joining Wigan or Saints makes it even tougher for game time.
He'd definitely get game time at Saints. He'd be in the 17 every week as the 4th prop behind Walmsley, Lees and Paasi.
Surely he'd get in Wigan's 17 with Cooper out, Singleton and Mago probably leaving?

Cooper could be back at some point next season, Thompson possibly incoming, Ellis, Byrne, Havard, Hill too. Don’t think he’d be nailed to make the 17

He would be a decent signing for the right price imo, good age and a local lad too, we got heavily linked with him before he went to France.

Looks like he has decided not to take up the last year of his deal at Catalans which was in his favour and will be on the move.
We are also not offering new terms to Singleton as rumoured so he will be off too.

Somebody on the other forum (not Dan so you never know) said a couple of weeks ago that Wigan were in for him. At the time people pointed out he was under contract but todays news confirms that’s not the case and clearly, if he’s turned down the extension, he’s signed somewhere else.
In all honesty I’ve never thought he was a stand out but I can’t say I’ve followed him that closely. I did pay a bit of attention to him against Saints last week and he grafted hard, although worryingly threw a couple of awfully wild passes out and gave up possession. Maybe it was an off night though and if the club see something in him, I’d back them.

Looking at the list, options seem to have been taken up on Cooper and Miski. Guys like Ellis, Cust, Thornley, Isa etc are ongoing situations. Mago isn’t on the ‘not offered terms’ list but presumably that’s just because there is a years option the client could take up if they wanted to. Smithies on none of the lists, so he doesn’t look to be off contract, which is good news (but would be better if they announced a long term extension).
