The quota being full has to be hurting us there. Even if you could shift Mago on, to bring one in, you’re still not up a forward (although granted you should be able to find a better one). There would’ve been calls to try and move Miski on until recently but he’s earned his spot big time. The only option I can see in terms of freeing up a quota spot and getting an extra forward in, would be to work out a deal with Cust that would allow him to leave early but I don’t see that happening.
That leaves the British market and outside of another Cooper/Powell type situation cropping up, where do you go? Maybe Walters early or Ian Watson seems on the edge of losing it with a few of his players but nothing obvious jumps out. Salford said they turned down a cash offer for a player recently but might not be able to next time if they don’t get enough pledges on this fan share scheme. I don’t see us paying out transfer fees either but who knows.
