It’s an interesting one with Thompson. I said on here a few weeks ago, I would rather spend the transfer fee and what you would imagine are far lower wages on Dupree, than I would want to give Thompson 250k a year. You have a young, fresh and up and coming prop, against a guy who is world class on his day but he hasn’t had his day for a few seasons now.
It’s a total guess but I reckon Thompson on a 4 year deal would cost around a million quid (250k per season). Dupree on a 4 year deal would probably cost an initial 200k and then a 4 year deal at half of Thompsons wage.
