Someone has said Harvie Hill will be heading to Salford. I can’t see us doing that?

I can see it as a loan option for rest of year, which would be a decent move, but think it would be a mistake to allow him to leave permanently.

Yes would be a good move. He’d get game time and Salford would get a player until Singleton goes. I know we can’t keep hold of everyone but if we kept him and brought Dupree and Walter (cover both prop and 2nd row) we’d have some of the best young props in the league with Cooper to hopefully bring them on

No way we can allow Hill to go permanently and I just don’t think that will happen. As mentioned above, I could see a loan move and that way Salford get an instant replacement for this season and then Singleton goes in there next season.

I would prefer if Hill didn’t leave at all in any capacity.

Dupree would be cup tied so we’d be short for the quarter final and hopefully semi

Surely Dupree will be looking at a decent salary increase. If Hull kr and now Wigan have put in bids for him does that mean that they both have plenty of cap space available this season? I was hoping Warrington would use makiele's freed up space to bring him in, but by the looks of it we aren't involved. And yes, he would be a MUCH better signing than the overrated Thompson.

Doesn't make sense, if Dupree comes in this week and Hill goes the other way we're still struggling for numbers up front.

That’s a good point. I’m surprised we’re going for a player who can’t play in the cup anyway and you certainly feel like we need Hill around for that next game. I’d be staggered if he were allowed to move in a swap deal. We did it with Halsall/Jack Bibby for Wardle but you understood those exits.

Highly debated mate but it seems some of batemans large salary is still available (but a fair bit of it went on French’s new deal).


If Dupree does sign it’s back to recruiting I like. Him and Wardle are too highly thought of talents, in their early twenties and come to an elite environment with the hopes of kicking on.

Similar to when we signed Bateman and Sarginson who were fantastic for us in their first spells.
