Ipape is second in the league in missed tackles only behind Lino.


Few rumblings on twitter saying King will be back at Wire next year. Might explain our interest in Keighran.

Couple of Wire fans on their board are saying King will be back with them as well. I still think it’s got a way to run yet but I’m pretty comfortable. He’s doing a good job for us but he certainly isn’t irreplaceable. If you had Keighran coming in, I don’t think that’s a downgrade and in goal kicking terms, it solves an issue. It’s just quota spots that are the problem.

I'd rather us keep King but, hey, he could be the first Warrington player for 50 years to win a Grand Final.

It’s out of our hands to a certain extent but I don’t see how King goes back without a massive climb down from Powell, which I don’t see happening as it isn’t in his DNA.

King for me has been a massive asset to us with his work ethic and he suits our style of play very well being the metre eater whilst French and Field provide the strike.

I’m personally very hopeful he signs permanently with us. Ultimately though it’s up to Wire.

King has been good but he’s a workhorse on what is believed to be superstar wages which makes the whole thing complicated. I’d like him to stay but the deal has to be right in a salary capped sport.

I think King is one of the most important players in our team. I agree the money has to be right, but to disrespect someone like him by saying “but he’s a workhorse” shows a total lack of respect for what he does.


In my opinion you should you should be saying can offload and is a great workhorse which is far from a negative it’s a massive positive.

He just isn’t.
Behind French Field Farrell Marshall Smithies Smith Isa as a minimum. Arguably chuck in Powell.
Don’t rate him at all. A “centre” who can’t pass two handed isn’t a centre.
A vastly overrated player who I suspect won’t be here in 2024.

Calling someone a workhorse isn’t disrespectful in my eyes but I’m calling him for what I think he is, his best attribute for us so far is him taking the ball in and making good meters, setting a good platform, the rest of his game has been solid but I don’t think we should be breaking the bank for him.

Silva to Toulouse on loan til the end of the season.

That’ll be his contract done. Very strange signing. Thought he’d at least make a squad consider how short we are in the pack.

Agreed odd signing.

Watched him on the weekend at the Summer Bash and he went well but I think that’s about his level.
