You're right, not many of us Wire fans can stand the fella. Full of gimics and buzz words and has overseen some of the worst recruitment we have seen in years. Just think what could have been achieved with Morans deep pockets with a good Chief Exec and talent scout.

The Salford model appears to be just doing enough to keep the wolf from the door, it won’t be long before they need financial assistance again.

Good luck to Salford if they can keep him - they deserve to having scouted him from the Championship. Wigan need to get better at finding these hidden gems.

Well from what I saw on Saturday they can keep him or you guys have him. Think there’s better to spend that sort of money on imo.

Looks like London Irish are the latest union club to go under, wonder if they've anyone in the forwards that could make the grade in league ?

There was a report that the government was looking in to support for the failing RU clubs, Ralph Rimmer was named as one of the team. They obviously noted the fantastic work he did for RL

He wasn't for sale before the £350k was raised via the share scheme so that reporting is pi$$ poor as usual and putting an incorrect slant on the situation.

Yet more lazy journalism which is trying to turn positive news about the club becoming fan owned into a "oh look Salford are going bust again" non-story.

They probably looked at his RL pay-packet, and thought "God Almighty, he must be good! No further diligence necessary".

At some point, someone will post contact numbers for the various devils and demons that people like Rimmer made deals with.

He never was for sale, Salford have made that pretty clear but with Dupree handing in a transfer request I would say there is still a good chance he leaves, think Salford fans think because he has put in a couple of good performances since handing in the transfer request that this is the matter closed but I’m not so sure. I also wonder if Warrington could be in the mix if they sack Maguire (not sure how the works cap wise?). I personally like the look of him and think we should do what we can to sign him. With our current injuries in the front row it would be a big boost getting him this season too.
