I’ve not seen much of Forber to be fair but I only ever hear and read positive things. Hopefully one of them will be given the chance to step up soon!

I’d much rather go for a steady Eddie like Jarrod Croker who can also kick goals.

I still think we should extend Cust’s contract for the year. Pre injury he looked good. Hopefully the lad can pick up form. I like Powell but i fem hopefully we won’t be reliant on him in defence and we can use him off the bench mad hooker replacement and maybe spells at 13.

I’d take a chance on giving Cust a new deal there’s definitely a good player in him it’s up to the coaching staff to get that out of him

Why spell him at 13? What does that achieve?

He’s not a forward so won’t be taking drives and he’s a failed halfback so barely going to rip up trees with the ball in hand.

100% correct. Powell had a really good season when McIlorum was injured but didn’t kick on at all. He can defend well and obviously is experienced. The coaches speak about his ‘leadership’ but he doesn’t lead on game day so not sure what they see.
He’s not a good hooker, he’s never a halfback and he definitely isn’t a 13. He’s a weak link when we have the ball and it’s time we went in a different direction because he’s not going to change or improve now.
